The Next Chapter
The next chapter in the life of the Cine Capri began in May, 1999 when Gayle Homes Martin dedicated a model of the Cine Capri to the Arizona Historical Society Museum in Tempe, Arizona. The model was in memory of her father, Bill Homes, the contractor who had built the original Cine Capri, a well as a thank you to the many thousands of fans who had patronized and tried to save the theater.

Bill Homes had died of cancer a few months before the Cine Capri's demise. His many contributions to the Phoenix area included twenty years of service on the John C. Lincoln Hospital Board of Directors. During his tenure he helped to petition the Arizona State Legislature for the certificate of need that allowed the construction of the trauma center at Lincoln Hospital. He also helped to establish the John C. Lincoln Health Foundation.

A fund raising event was held at the museum that day, raising over $2500 for the museum and for the John C. Lincoln Health Foundation. The Cine Capri Model remains on permanent display at the museum.
